Dear friends and supporters, new and old members and funders, The last few months leading up to the summer holidays were filled with special guest Leaders, performances and in-depth training opportunities for the choir. We sang for the NewVIc Music night at Stratford Circus, the Newham Music Festival at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank and sang and mentored young singers from NYPC for the London SING UP Community intensive 3-day training event at Stratford Circus, led by Dr. Doreen Rao, Lee Kesselman and Eugene Rogers from the CME faculty, USA. Solid Harmony would like to extend a particular thank you to Doreen, Lee and Eugene for their vision and inspiration on philosophy, skills and repertoire, to Mathew Brady for the sessions leading up to CME London, (Good luck in your new post in N.Y.C. Mathew!) and to all our guest leaders from last year, including Paul Watson and Geneta Crooke. So now, "Onwards and Upwards" into the new academic year, thanks to our funders, Newham Council, the Jack Petchey Foundation and NewVIc!
