Solid Harmony's senior performance choir (SPC) were invited to sing for Holocaust Memorial Day at 8 Northumberland Ave, Trafalgar Sq, London.

The choir created and performed an opening fanfare, "Listen To My Voice (Speak Up, Speak Out)" and closed the ceremony with their own arrangement of "Courage" by Orianthi.

We were all deeply moved by all the presentations, especially the chanting of the Jewish prayer for the departed which was performed by Cantor Jonny Turgel. We'd like to thank the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust for involving us in this poignant reminder that each of us are responsible for speaking up and speaking out against intolerance and injustice in our world.

Congratulations to our Jack Petchey Young Leaders Awards for their outstanding contribution to the choir. We value the support of the Jack Petchey Foundation to encourage us to be the best we can be! Thank you.

Solid Harmony Performance Choir set the vibe at this wonderful 'Celebration of Life' event on Friday night. Made up of Senior members, Alumni members and ex-Revelation choir members, this relatively new and talented formation of young London and Newham based singers is rapidly becoming a force to be reckoned with!

Just an update for choir members, new members, parents and friends! Rehearsals start back on Tue 13th September @ NewVIc, start time 4.45pm for beginners / all-comers choir and 5.45pm - 7.20pm for Advanced choir. 

Auditions for Solid Harmony Advanced will be held from 6pm on Tuesday 20th September. Please register your interest via the Contact page of our website. The first performance for the choir will be on 30th November at Stratford Circus. The Senior Choir have also been invited to perform at Southbank for the 'Celebration of Life' event on 14th October, so a busy term ahead! Watch this space for further updates.

Thanks to SERIOUS, Solid Harmony Senior choir had the privilege of being invited to sing on the steps of St. Davids Hall, Cardiff on Saturday as part of the 75th Anniversary of the  Wellcome Trust . Dame Gwyneth Jones listened to the singers and gave valuable advise about how we look after our vocal chords and sing with a 'beautifully rounded sound'. As part of the overall project, Mr. Tom Harris, Specialist ENT surgeon to the stars, photographed 4 choir members vocal chords and explained in detail exactly how they work. We sang songs by people who also share a 75th birthday this year, including Dame Shirley Bassey, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Steve Reich. The choir included guest performers Emma Williams, Marina-Lolita Hart (ex-Revelation), and Eysha Mingo, along with other senior and alumni members of the choir. I happened to be passing the St.David's hall in Cardiff while you were singing and I thought you were brilliant. Everybody were having a great time. I was wondering if you've made any CD's and if so where can they be purchased. If you are visiting south wales again sometime in the future then I would love to come to a concert and bring my family. Well Done, keep singing!
